What are the other requirements?
Research paper of up
to 4000 words
Theory of knowledge (TOK) is
assessed through an oral
presentation and a 1,600 word essay.
How does the grading system work?
• Subjects are graded on a scale from 1 to 7
• To pass the IBDP one must score at least 24
points
• Maximum 45 points (6 subjects X 7 plus 3 for EE
and TOK)
✓ 12 points in three HL subjects
✓ -Not more than three subjects at grade 3
