BUERGO.FOL GmbH from Siegenburg in Bavaria is a company of around 300 employees specializing in the manufacture of rigid and flexible films. We offer a diverse and advanced product catalogue comprising shrink-wrap films, skin films and reclosable films for the food industry, medical products, pet food, the chemi-cal industry, as well as special customized applications.

With more than 40 years of experience, BUERGO.FOL provides unique know-how in the development of modern packaging solutions.

Our wealth of experience combined with the constant drive to advance the cur-rent state of technology has made BUERGO.FOL market leader in the field of high-tech technical films and special-purpose films with content customers in many different branches of business and industry.

We use state-of-the-art manufacturing technology which enables us to produce significantly thinner films while maintaining consistent quality standards. This way we dramatically reduce production waste and lower shipping costs as well as recycling fees (Grüner Punkt).

SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENT

COMPANY

We also make use of advanced heat recovery technology where energy potential and energy flux are retained and renewed sustainably. This makes our manufac-turing process particularly energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.

• MORE EFFICIENT TRANSPORT Our thinner films can be stacked in a highly space-efficient manner allowing more goods to be stocked and transported per unit space which reduces shipping costs as well as the carbon footprint of the transport process.

• RECYCLABLE RAW MATERIALS We use only raw materials which can be recycled ecologically.

Films from the BUERGO.FLEX product portfolio are especially suitable for the packaging of food, as they offer highest standards in reliable food protection and hygiene.

They are characterized by a high degree of bonding strength and therefore are the first choice for “aggressive” products, such as spices. Even under critical packaging conditions these foils retain their excellent mechanical and sealing properties. Furthermore BUERGO.PET rigid films are excellent for foodstuffs due to their outstanding thermoforming properties and transparency.

Since pet food is often purchased in bulk quantities, the packaging mustguarantee the freshness and shelf life for as long as possible.

When packaging dry or wet food, a combination of different materials and filmproperties is available. Depending on the requirements, materials can be mixed and matched as lined out below:
