Materials Used in Our HiddenbedsDesigned for Beauty and EleganceWe at Mount Angel Carpentry take pride in providingnot only a unique space-saving, multi-functional pieceof furniture, but one one that will add beauty and elegance to your home. Our Hiddenbeds are constructed with either furniture grade hardwood plywood or pre-finished wood-grain Melamine.

The Basic OptionOf the many species of wood available in both hard-wood plywoods and Melamine sheet goods, we havechosen maple for our basic option. Maple is a light col-ored wood that is generally straight-grained with a fine,uniform, smooth texture that takes stain well and fin-ishes beautifully. It is very strong and durable, and isalso one of the more inexpensive hardwood plywoodsand melamine sheet goods. These properties make it anexcellent choice for our basic option, and the one thatwe will keep in stock, ready for assembly and installa-tion in your home.

Other OptionsYou can also order your hidden bed in any of anumber of other species and Melamine finishes.Since the materials vary in price, the cost of aHiddenbed that incorporates an optional speciesor Melamine product will vary according to theadded cost of the specific sheet goods used.

Our Finishing ProcessAt Hiddenbed of Oregon we take great care to ensure that your Hiddenbed will have an attractiveand durable finish. While our Melamine Hiddenbeds require very little finishing other than the edge-banding, our hardwood plywood beds require special care in the finishing process as outlined below:

1. After the parts are milled and inspected for quality, all surfaces are sanded to achieve a fine furniture feel, and all dust is carefully removed.

2. If the Hiddenbed is to be stained, we then hand apply a deep penetrating stain that is allowed toair dry. Our high quality stains bring out the highlights in the wood and add richness to the finish.

3. A specially formulated, pre-catalyzed sanding sealer is applied, preparing the surface for the finalfinish.

4. Once the sanding sealer is dry, all surfaces are lightly hand sanded and wiped clean.

5. A premium quality, pre-catalyzed, lacquer topcoat is pressure applied to attain a handsome,durable satin or semi-gloss finish.

6. Before every Hiddenbed is delivered and installed, it is again inspected to ensure that it meets ourhigh quality standards

In December of 2009 twodifferent Organizations, LGA Laboratories in Germany and the Public Laboratory of Construction inJapan, submitted the Hiddenbed ("Splendid" model) to rigorous testing for quality, safety and suitabil-ity for intensive use. Is there a warranty on the Hiddenbed?Hiddenbed is guaranteed for 5 years against defects in hardware and craftsmanship.

How long will it take to get our Hiddenbed once we order it?If we have your model in stock, it will take about a week to ten days to ship to most U.S. locations. If we will need to manufacture your Hiddenbed, it could take up to four weeks or longer, dependingon the model, material, finish, and size of the order.

Hiddenbed of Oregon is a specialty production company whosemain office is located in Mount Angel, Oregon. A spin-off fromMount Angel Carpentry, the company was formed in 2011 for thespecific purpose of focusing on the production and sale of the Hid-denbed in the Pacific Northwest. Its owner, Keith Cobb, is a highly-skilled craftsman with over 30 years experience. Hiddenbed isproduced in an over 10,000 sq. ft. facility in Salem, Oregon, com-pletely equipped with modern computerized production machinery.
