HHD 2013

Rabbi Norman Klein was born in the Bronx and raised in Great Neck, New York.. He attended Princeton University before transferring to the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Before entering rabbinic school, Rabbi Klein did graduate work in English literature at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and taught college classes in literature, which he continued to do after his ordination, at his various pulpits in Pittsburgh, PA, Waco, TX and Champagne, IL. He was ordained in 1985 at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Manhattan.

Rabbi Klein's wife, Andrea, has her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and maintains a child and family practice in Champaign, Illinois. Daughter, Sarah, is studying for her doctorate in psy-chology at George Mason University in Virginia. She resides in Washington DC. Son, Sam, is a graduate of the Cornell Hotel Management School and currently lives and works in San Francisco. Rabbi Klein completed the extensive training cycle presented by the Central Conference of American Rabbis for those wishing to serve as interim rabbis in Union for Reform Judaism affiliated congregations. He will assist in the transition process that will lead to the next permanent rabbi here at Temple Beth Torah. Rabbi Klein's love of English literature has found expression in his sermons. He takes pleasure in studying rabbinic and secular literature. When he is not working, Rabbi Klein enjoys hiking, camping, swimming and travelling. Andrew RubensteinAndrew RubensteinAndrew RubensteinAndrew Rubenstein, son of Scott and Mandy Rubenstein was called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on August 24, 2013. Andrew has been a member of Temple Beth Torah since Kindergarten. He is an honors student at American Heritage where he is a member of the Math League and Builders Club. Like his father, Andrew enjoys computers, technology and building things, even if it is only building new worlds on Minecraft. He is attending second session at Camp Coleman again this summer. When he returns, he is excited to spend time with his all of his cousins, Aunts, Uncles and grandparents who will be here in Florida for his Bar Mitzvah. Joshua Kart Joshua Kart Joshua Kart Joshua Kart was called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on August 31, 2013. Josh was born in New York and moved to Florida at age 3. He has been a member of TBT since then. Josh is an honor student, member of the Polo Park Track Team, as well as an avid fisherman. He spends most of summer with his friends and enjoys freshwater and sea fishing. Josh has boundless energy and is always active, but most importantly he cares about his family and friends. His parents are Philip and Kristin Kart and he has an older sister, Rachel. Julia Danielle Wortman, Julia Danielle Wortman, Julia Danielle Wortman, Julia Danielle Wortman, daughter of Missy and Scott Wortman will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on Sat-urday, September 21, 2013. Julia is a seventh grade honors student at Polo Park Middle School. She a Level 10 gymnast training at American Twisters in Coconut Creek. She loves theater and especially everything Broadway. Julia will be joined on her special day be her parents, her brother Sam, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from near and far.
