SBOE has authority over all aspects of the TEKS, including the revision process.
The SBOE approved a process for the review of TEKS (July 2008).

Final rule language will be published in the Texas Register soon.
Implementation of new science TEKS will occur in 2010-2011 school year.
Science TAKS and End-of-Course Exams will be revised to reflect new adopted TEKS.
