~In Our Thoughts & Prayers~ Homebound Parishioner of the Week

This weekend marks the official start of the Our Shepherds - Our Future Capital Campaign in our par-ish. This is the $33,000,000 fund drive by Bishop Walkowi-ak to provide funds to pay the costs of educating seminari-ans to become future priests. Our parish goal is $938,460 over the three-year life of the campaign. A packet has been mailed to each registered parishioner on Friday, No-vember 8. The packet contains a letter from the Bishop which includes a specific dollar amount that you are asked to prayerfully consider giving. Please review the campaign material and pray about your response. No one is telling you what to give but only asking you to prayerfully consider what you may be able to give over the three-years of the campaign to assist Bishop Walkowiak to provide you a priest in the future. This letter should be arriving in your home in the next week or two as it was mailed as bulk mail. For some of you a pledge card will be included in the pack-et you receive. It is asked that you complete the pledge card and return it by mail to the address on the envelope. For others of you there will be no pledge card included in your packet but rather a fellow parishioner ambassador will be contacting you to give to you your pledge card. The reason for this different procedure is that the Steier Group, who are coordinating the Capital Campaign, believe that parishioners are more likely to contribute generously if they have a personal contact with someone like a fellow parish-ioner. We did not have enough people volunteer to be par-ish ambassadors such that there could be a personal con-tact for every parishioner but since we have 22 ambassa-dors that means that 220 of you will receive a personal contact. If you have any questions about any of this please feel free to consult the material in the packet you receive, contact Lori or Darrell in the Parish Office, or feel free to contact me. Just like with CSA each year I would ask that you promptly return your pledge cards after prayerfully dis-cerning what size of a contribution you might be able to make over the next three years. It is my hope that in the spirit of the "widow's mite" everyone will be able to contrib-ute something whether it be considered a large donation or a small donation. The Capital Campaign is taking place during the months of November and December, hoping to wrap up by the end of the calendar year, which is why I ask that you return your pledge cards promptly. It is important that you do return the pledge card whether you are making a contribution or not as that is one of the criteria being used to determine if we have made a "good faith" effort as a par-ish to participate in assisting the Bishop with this effort. On behalf of the Bishop I would like to thank you in advance for your support of the Diocese and his Capital Campaign to help to provide you a priest in your future.

Picture Retake Day

Wednesday, November 13, stu-dents will have the opportunity for their school pictures to be retaken. Just bring the original picture packet to school. Did your child miss Pic-ture Day in October? Bring your order form and have your picture taken Wednesday. Parish Priests and ASA Board of Directors members are also invited to have your photo taken. Photographers will be at the Elementary School 8:00-10:30am, and at the Middle School 12:30-3:00pm.

Would you like to give the gift of Catholic School

Education?

Many of our parish families struggle to afford Catholic school tuition. Some decide they simply can't af-ford it, even though they want to provide their children with the bless-ings that such an education pro-vides. Now you can help. All Saints Academy's Tuition Angel program makes it possible for you to donate to ASA, and direct your donation to help a youngster learn and grow in God's word. You can make a real difference in the life of a child. Please call 447-2997 and ask for John Matlak, or go to our web page at www.asagr.org./tuition-angel-program to learn how you can make a difference today...and for years to come.

Dear Parish Family,

Thank you for your cards and get well wishes, and most of all your prayers for a speedy recovery.

I enjoyed hearing from you and thanks again for your thoughtfulness. Sincerely, Kathy Reynolds

Advent by Candlelight
