Federal Marketing

Strategic Market Intelligence

As your eyes and ears in Washington, we provide advanced warning on policy developmentsthat have a direct impact on your business, giving you a distinct advantage over your competition.

Federal Marketing

An extension of your marketing, sales and business development functions, we help you better position your company for success in the federal market.

Liaison with Legislative Branch

On Capitol Hill we are shaping the development of broad-reaching policies that impact your business and working with key members and committees to set the oversight and policy

development agenda around federal IT management.

We provide line-of-sight interaction with the right CXOs to open lines of communication and business opportunities.

Liaison with Executive Branch

No federal market strategy is complete without a Capitol Hill outreach plan and our experience and access sets us apart.

Congress, the regulatory agencies of the federal government and

individual agency CIOs all make decisions that impact your success

in the federal market.

Our approach is to pull the right lever-

working with the right entity, at the right time to move the needle for our clients.

Congress

Individual Federal CIOs

Regulatory Agencies

By using Congress to put pressure on the regulatory agencies, or the regulatory agencies to push down on individual agency leadership, or some combination of all

of the above, we achieve unprecedented results.

“As a Silicon Valley-based company and a new entrant to the federal market, we faced issues that traditional government contractors don’t. We hired the Cyrrus / Hettinger Strategy Group team to help us better position our growing federal business in Washington through a combination of Capitol Hill advocacy and federal marketing and the results have been outstanding. Our work with them has clearly given us a distinct advantage over our competition.”

Special Interest Projects

• FITARA Implementation – The Joint Venture team includes the author of FITARA (Rich Beutel) and one of the industry’s leading advocates for the legislation during its consideration (Mike Hettinger). Together, we are now advising the Federal CIO and other key stakeholders on key factors needed for effective implementation of the law.

• FedRAMP – No firm anywhere is more actively engaged in the FedRAMP program. We work closely with leadership at GSA and within the FedRAMP PMO, as well as with numerous industry groups advocating for changes to the program to make it work more effectively for CSPs doing business with the government.

• Accelerating Government Cloud Adoption – While the original 25 Point Plan started the government in the right direction on cloud, that momentum has slowed considerably. As thought leaders for government’s effective adoption of cloud we are driving debate around the importance of strong cloud computing and IT security policies.
