HERTZ CHAUFFEURS ON THE FAST TRACK
Hertz chauffeurs from around South Africa recently underwent a full day’s high performance safety training at the Volkswagen Driving Academy Boma at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
“We kicked off the day with a lesson in vehicle dynamics and then put theory into practice with the drivers experiencing emergency simulations on the skidpan, learning the various skids and the corrective actions required to handle them.
Both Le Grange and Sherl Camera, strategy executive for Hertz Rent a Car were present to personally congratulate each of the drivers on their success and to hand out token gifts commemorating both the day’s training and the brand’s new we drive you - powered by Hertz® livery.

Please see below the standard response we need to use when questioned about e-toll charges:
Following the implementation of e-tolling in Gauteng, Hertz South Africa would like to advise that we will be billing our clients in accordance with the standard tariff structure as published
in the Government Gazette.
Substantial preparatory costs in terms of compliancy, administration and development in relation to e-tolling have already been incurred. Now, with its implementation and going
forward, the cost of managing the process and also the risk, will continue to be significant.
We would like to reassure our customers that Hertz’s billing process and the charges levied will be automated and transparent and as we become better acquainted with the impact of e-
tolling on our business and systems, our pricing policy may undergo review.
