Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman was a runaway slave in Maryland. She is known as the “Moses of her people”. Harriet led hundreds of slaves to freedom under the Underground Railroad. The Underground Railroad was a secret passage way to safe houses where runaway slaves could stay on their journey to have freedom She was also a spy during the Civil War, as well as a nurse. I believe she is a hero for sending a hundred slaves free from being a slave.
