In the first half of 2012, among provinces in Region XII, South Cotabato posted the highest poverty threshold at P9,797; the highest increase in poverty threshold was noted in Cotabato Province at 22.5% from 2009.

In the first sem of 2012, among the provinces in Region XII, South Cotabato had the highest food threshold; Cotabato Province posted the highest increase in food threshold at 22.3 percent.
