DIAMOND DRILL LOGS

ASSAY CERTIFICATES

INTRODUCTION:

At the request of M. Bobinski and L. Herbert, owners of the Herbo property,

geological mapping was done on four mineral claims in the Red Lake, Ontario area.

The purpose of the mapping was to attempt to locate economic mineralization

and locate targets for diamond drilling.

Mapping of the property took four days and was done during August and Septem

ber, 1990.

Two diamond drill holes totalling 361 metres were drilled in November of 1990.

LOCATION AND ACCESS:

The Herbo property is located in the north eastern portion of Heyson Township.

The northern most claim lies approximately one quarter of a mile east-south-east

of the town of Red Lake.

The property lies on the junction of Highways 105 and 125 and consists of 19

unpatented , unleased mineral claims listed as follows:

GENERAL GEOLOGY: ,

The Red Lake "greenstone" metavolcanic, metasedimentary belt is located in

the western portion of the Uche Subprovince of Superior Structural Province in

the Candian Shield. It is Archean in age and forms a belt approximately 48 km.

long and a maximum of 25 km. wide.

The stratigraphy of the belt has been divided by Pirie into two major vol

canic sequences. The lower sequence is composed of dominantly mafic to ultramafic

metavolcanics with subordinate amounts of felsic metavolcanics and metasediments.

The lower sequence is overlain a calc-alkalic sequence which is composed of

"dominantly felsic to intermediate metavolcanics with minor amounts of interlayered

mafic metavolcanics and metasediments.

The property lies within the upper calc- alkalic sequence close to the con

tact with the lower mafics.

PREVIOUS WORK:

The property has been held off and on since the discovery of the Howey Mine,

one half of a mile away, in 1926.

No records have been found of the earlier work but a number of trenches

blasted into sulphide bearing quartz veins have been located.

The earliest reference to work is a hole drilled in the extreme northwest

corner of the property early than 1961.

Some trenching and drilling in the 1962 - 1968 period has been recorded and

is on file in the Red Lake Assessment Office under the File: Heyson Twp., Currie

McDougal Property.

The property was staked in April of 1986 by the present owners. They have

recorded work in the form of power stripping and an airborne EM and Magnetic

Survey.

PROPERTY GEOLOGY:i

The geology described applies to four claims only, KRL 869699 - 869702,

which were field mapped by north-south traverses with approximately 200 feet

between lines.

The majority of the property is undaclain by the Howey Diorite which has

been described by Pirie as being " an intermediate intensive complex ... the

major phases being hornblende quartz diorite to diorite. "

The diorite is commonly fractured with light green sericite development

along fracture planes.

The second most common rock type is mafic volcanics commonly pillowed generally

'striking 1200 with tops to the south. These rocks are occasionally intruded by

narrow crosscutting feldspar porphyry dykes.

The third most common rock type found outcropping on the property is a gabbro

body contained within the diorite; it is dark, commonly coarse crystalline and

magnetic.

MINERALIZATION:

A zone of weak carbonate alteration is found on the property with associated

pyrite and occasional quartz veining and weak shearing. In one location a small

speck of visible gold was found on a narrow quartz stringer within this zone.

The second most common occurrence of mineralization is a series of narrow shears

with quartz veining, pyrite and chalcopyrite found near the west boundary of the

property.

DIAMOND DRILLING:

As a result of previous work by L. Herbert and M. Bobinski as well as field

mapping, it was decided to drill two separate targets, the trenched area on claimf

869701 where the visible gold was found and the quartz veins with pyrite, pyrrho

tite and chalcopyrite on claims 869699 and 869700.

The drill programme started on November 11, 1990 and was completed on

November 18, 1990. The drilling was done by N. Morrissette from their office in

Cochenour, Ontario. The drilling was done by one crew doing a 12 hour shift per

day and they completed 361 metres during the week.

The core was logged and is stored at Esker Logging of Red Lake.

The assaying was done by Paul's Custom Fire Assaying Ltd. of Cochenour, Ont.

DIAMOND DRILL RESULTS:

Hole HB-90-1 was drilled into the trench area where visible gold had been

found by L. Herbert and M. Bobinski.

The hole encountered mafic volcanic and Howey Diorite.

Mineralization encountered was pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and

sphalerite. All samples assayed for gold came back trace.

Hole HB-90-2 was drilled into an area containing quartz veining with

pyrrhotite, pyrite and chalcopyrite.

The hole failed to hit substantial quartz veining but encountered a number

of areas of silicified diorite with pyrite and chalcopyrite. A number of

silicified samples assayed in the 0.01 - 0.02 range.

CONCLUSIONS:

Anomalous gold has been found in two environments on the property. The first

is in quartz stringers in a sheared carbonitized zone, the second is with chalco

pyrite in silicified diorite.

None of the above values are economic.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

A number of chips samples should be taken of the sulphide bearing quartz

veins along the west side of the property to determine better their gold content.
