The response of the detectors is converted into a chemical fingerprint thanks to the powerful software to ensure simplicity of use for non-skilled operators. Several models allow a complete and simple vizualisation of results and provide for each product its own fingerprint signature.
Human nose has non-specific odor receptors that are very sensitive to certain odors and molecules.It does not identify, separate nor quantify the different constituents. Global signal from human olfactory cells is transmitted to the brain and converted into odor descriptors.
With the development of Electronic Nose instruments, Alpha MOS mimics this mechanism with innovative technologies as Metal Oxyde Sensors, Fingerprint Mass Spectrometry and recently ultra fast gas chromatography. The brain transduction is assumed by a computer and a powerful sophisticated software.
Using an array of two columns with several polarity that responds differently to each volatile chemical but in a way similar to the human nose one, Heracles Flash Nose provides an unique signature of your product, via a chemical or olfactive fingerprint, as well as quantification on specific molecules in a complex matrix.
