• Henry VIII (28 June 1491 – 28 January 1547) was King of England from 21 April 1509 until his death.

• His father was Henry VII and his mother`s name was Elizabeth York.

• Henry VIII was born in the royal residence,Greenwitch Palace.

• He had six siblings,but only three survived:Arthur,Margaret and Mary.

• In 1509 Henry married to Catherine of Aragon.• Catherine had produced only one surviving

child-a girl,Princess Mary(born in 1516).• Henry VIII truly loved her,he professed it many

times in songs,letters,inscriptions etc.• Shakespeare called her the Queen of Earthly

Queens.• Married to Henry: 23 years,11 months and 11

days.

Henry VIII second wife• Henry´s second wife was Anne Boleyn• She was dark-haired,with beautiful features and

lively manners.Educated in Europe.• In 1533,Henry and Anne went throught a secret

wedding service.• On 7.September 1533,Anne gave birth to

another daughter-Elizabeth.• She was beheaded on 19 May 1536.• Married to Henry:2 years,11 months and 21

days.

• Jane Seymour was Henry`s third wife.• It is strongly believed that she is the

mistress who disposed Anne.• Jane gave birth to Edward,but she died

twelwe days later because of post-natal complications.

• Married to Henry:1 year,4 months and 24 days.
