The Obituary

Henry Hinton, Jr. Sunrise: June 17, 1937— Sunset: June 7, 2019

Henry Hinton, Jr. was born July 17, 1937 in Flemings, Kentucky and departed this life June 7, 2019 at the Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Henry Hinton, Sr. and Mary Hinton.

Henry attended school in Flemings, Kentucky. He spent 6 years in the United States Army. Henry was employed at Ford Motor Company in Cleveland, Ohio for 39 years and later retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of Lake Galilee Baptist Church in Ohio. In 2004, he and his family moved to Grover, North Carolina.

He loved fast Old School Cars (1965 Galaxy 500). He truly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. However, his great love was for God and the love of his life (Baby) Brenda.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Hinton, Sr. and Mary Hinton, sons; O’Shun Hinton, Charles Hinton, four brothers and two sisters.

Left to cherish fond memories: his wife of 53 years Brenda Hinton, daughter-in-law; Phoebe Hinton, grandsons; Raashid and Osiris Hinton, great-grandchildren, A’Maire and Brenden Hinton, a sister; Naomi Biggerstaff, his brothers; Isaac Hinton (Debbie), Robert Hinton, special friends; John Dean and Daniel Nance, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Footprints In The Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking Along the beach with the Lord,

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints.

Other times there was only one. This bothered me because I noticed

During the low periods of my life when I was Suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat,

I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, You promised me,

Lord, that if I followed you, You would walk with me always.

But I noticed during the most trying periods Of my life there has only been One set of prints in the sand.

Why, when I needed you most, Have you not been there for me?

The Lord replied, The times when you have seen only

one set of footprints It was then that I carried you.
