Defining the Business Blueprint (for ImplementationProjects)

UseThis function documents the business processes in your company that you want to implement in the system. You create a project structure in which relevant business scenarios, business processes and process stepsare organized in a hierarchical structure. You can also create project documentation and assign it to individualscenarios, processes or process steps. You then assign transactions to each process step, to specify howyour business processes should run in your SAP Systems.

The Business Blueprint is a detailed description of your business processes and system requirements. Youcan print it out. You can continue to use the project documentation and the project structure that you useduring the Business Blueprint, in the configuration and test organization phases.

When you configure your business processes, the system displays the Business Blueprint projectstructure. You can use the Business Blueprint project structure as a point of reference duringconfiguration.

You can also display and edit the project documentation from the Business Blueprint phase, during

    configuration.

You base all test plans that you create during test organization, on the Business Blueprint projectstructure. The transactions that you assign to process steps in the Business Blueprint are put in testplans during test plan generation, and run as function tests to test the transactions.

IntegrationYou define a Business Blueprint after you have created your project. The Business Blueprint is theprerequisite for the realization phase, in which you configure and test your business processes.

PrerequisitesYou have created a project. You have set up an evaluation or development system landscape for the projectpreparation and Business Blueprint phases.

FeaturesThe project structure is displayed at the left-hand side of the screen. The structure is a hierarchy which willcontain the following items when it is complete:

    Organizational Units

    Master data

    Business scenario

    Business process

    Process step

You can run the default transactions which are assigned to process steps, in this structure.

Transactions run in a new session. After a transaction, the screen is as it was before.

If you create your own scenario, all functions are available to create and change a project structure.

You can filter successively by scope, status, team members and keywords, with the Filter Structure icon, torestrict the structure view.

Choose the Show/Hide Column icon to show or hide information about the template IDs assigned to thescenarios, and about logical components.

You can use the following functions in the tabs at the right-hand side of the screen:

General DocumentationThis tab displays all the documentation and/or C-Business diagrams delivered by SAP. You can sort ordownload the documents, or copy them to the Project Documentation tab for editing.
