Helly Hansen employs full time hoods for all uniform jack-ets. This ensures a consistent look amongst all staff and guarantees full protection from the elements at all times.

Additionally, our hoods are helmet compatable and feature a Wedgelock adjustment system which is easily adjustable, even while wearing gloves.

To ensure long term colour fastness of the garment, Helly Hansen requires all fabrics meet a minimum grade of 3.5 on colour fastness tests. Additionally, Helly Hansen performs a third party audit of all tests, ensuring our strict requirements are met to minimize fading throughout the life of the uniform partnership.

Reinforced panels are used in high abrasion areas such as the shoulders, cuffs and hems for added durability. We use an oxford Cordura nylon, sourced from our workwear busi-ness to ensure unparalled, time tested strength.

Double top stitching throughout the garment and the use of a heavy duty, double spun polyester thread maintains the in-tegrity of the seams when exposed to harsh conditions and usage.

Helly Hansen uses fabrics, sourced from our workwear and sport divisions as the foundation of our uniform program. As such our uniform pieces are custom designed, built and tested specifi cally for use in harsh environments - they are custom designed, built and tested specifi cally for profes-sional use in harsh environments.

All uniform pieces are fully seam sealed using a stronger Be-mis seam tape than what is used for inline collections. This extra durability is crucial to withstand multiple seasons of professional use.

Interior radio pocket is easily accessible while keeping com-munication gear secure and protected from the elements. This pocket accommodates the Motorola CP200 portable two way radio.

All jackets feature a powderskirt to complete the weather seal. The powderskirt has a snap away feature that keeps it out of the way when not needed.

RECCO® reflectors are integrated into the majority of the Helly Hansen FW13 ski jacket- and pant collection, and are permanently attached. The system requires no training and no batteries to function, meaning it is always “on” and ready. RECCO® reflectors do not prevent avalanches nor do they guarantee location or survival in the event of a burial, but they enable organized rescue teams to pinpoint the person’s precise location by the use of a RECCO® detector.
