Entry Requirements

General Requirement

Grade C6 in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination ; or

Grade ‘B’ in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) ; or

IELTS score of 6.0 ; or

TOEFL minimum overall score of 550 ; or

Band B2 in the UBD English Proficiency Test.

‘A’ Level Qualification or equivalent

A minimum of 160 points for two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or 200 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects. (Subjects such as Ulum Hadith, Ulum Al-Quran and Tahfiz Al-Quran are not included under the two ‘A’ Level passes required but may be considered as a third ‘A’ level subject)

International Baccalaureate

International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum score of 24 points; or

International Baccalaureate Certificate with a minimum score 24 points including:

a minimum of 5 points each, in at least two subjects taken at Higher Level, or

5, 4, 4 points for three subjects taken at Higher Level

Re-sits / Upgrade of results are allowed.

Diploma Level 5 / Higher National Diploma

(HND) / Advanced Diploma

Applicants with Prior Work Experience

‘O’ Level Qualification or equivalent

At least a Grade C6 in Bahasa Melayu.

‘A’ Level Qualification or its equivalent

A minimum of 160 points for two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or 200 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects. (Subjects such as Ulum Hadith, Ulum Al-Quran and Tahfiz Al-Quran are not included under the two ‘A’ Level passes required but may be considered as a third ‘A’ level subject)


International Baccalaureate Diploma or International Baccalaureate Certificate with a minimum score of 24 points, including:

At least a Grade C6 in Mathematics.**


A minimum of 160 points for two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or 200 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant English medium subjects.


International Baccalaureate Diploma or International Baccalaureate Certificate with a minimum score 24 points, including:

a minimum of 5 points each, in at least two relevant subjects (including Mathematics) taken at Higher Level; or

5, 5, 4 points for three relevant subjects taken at Higher Level (including Mathematics).



A relevant HND or equivalent qualification recognized by Senate.


At least five (5) years working experience in related fields; and have passed at least one (1) ‘A’ Level, or equivalent, in a relevant subject.

**Any statistics course passed with Merit and above at HND level can be considered in lieu of the ‘O’ Level Mathematics for those who have only acquired Pass (D7 or E8)

A minimum of 260 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects INCLUDING Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry.


At least 30 points with a minimum of 5 points in relevant subjects INCLUDING Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry at the Higher Level.



Considered on a case by case basis subject to HND qualifications being acceptable as equivalent to the standard requirements and approval by the Dean of Faculty of Integrated Technologies.

Interview Candidates fulfilling the entry requirements must pass an interview.

Grade B4 in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination ; or

Grade ‘A’ in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) ; or

IELTS overall score of 7.0 or better ; or

Any other equivalent


A minimum of 320 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, with a minimum Grade B. The minimum requirement must be met in one examination sitting.

Bachelor Degree with Honours

At least a First Class honours in a relevant discipline from Universiti Brunei Darussalam or any other university recognised by the University Senate. This is in addition to meeting the ‘A’ Level Qualification or International Baccalaureate or its equivalent.


At least 34 points including a minimum of 6, 6, 5 points in relevant subjects at the Higher Level. (Accepted subjects will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)

Interview

Candidates fulfilling the entry requirements must pass the multiple mini- interviews (MMI) covering the pre-requisite bio-science knowledge, attitudes, ethics and other critical skills needed for a programme of medical studies and must be medically certified as fit to join the programme.

Medical Fitness Required to go through prescribed medical fitness examination and must be certified as fit to join the programme.

General Requirement






A minimum of 300 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant Science subjects with a minimum of Grade B for Chemistry and a minimum Grade C in at least two other Science subjects (Physics, Mathematics or Biology).


A minimum score of 32 points including a minimum of 5, 5, 5 points in relevant subjects at Higher Level, with Chemistry as a mandatory subject. Other two (2) relevant subjects should be from Physics, Mathematics or Biology.

Interview Candidates fulfilling the entry requirements must pass the multiple mini- interview (MMI) covering the pre-requisite Pharmaceutical knowledge, attitudes, ethics and other critical skills needed for the programme.

Diploma Qualification

A Higher National Diploma or National Diploma in Sciences or its equivalent with a minimum of 5 merits in related subject. (Accepted subjects will be assessed on a case-by-case basis) Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery without working experience At least three (3) merits and/or passes with credit in the second and third year of the diploma programme undertaken with no repeat modules.

Bachelor Degree with Honours

At least a Second Class honours in a relevant discipline from Universiti Brunei Darussalam or any other university recognised by the University Senate.

A minimum of 180 points for two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or 220 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant science subjects; OR

A minimum of 160 points for two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or 200 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant science subjects; AND pass an entrance examination.


At least 26 points in International Baccalaureate Diploma or Certificate, with a minimum of 5 points each in at least two relevant Science subjects taken at Higher Level, one of which must be Mathematics; OR

At least 24 points in International Baccalaureate Diploma or Certificate, with a minimum of 5 points each in at least two relevant Science subjects taken at Higher Level, one of which must be Mathematics, AND pass an entrance examination.
