PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2005-Present: Principal Technology and Application Consultant, METTLER TOLEDO, Boston, MA

In collaboration with regional sales organization, managed and supported B2B sales and the development of

business opportunities in the (bio)pharma and the (bio)chemical industries through marketing investigations, and

on-site demonstrations of return on investment

Managed, trained, let a team of technical sales consultant for the implementation of chemical and engineering

technologies in North / South America, Asia, and Europe (≥ $10M annual sales). Technical expertise and support

to academic and industry research for ATR-FTIR spectroscopy reaction monitoring, process calorimetry, particle

system characterization

2003-2005: Project Manager/ R & D Process Chemist and Engineer, Rhodia Pharma Solutions, Chambers

Works NJ

Designed an efficient 7 step synthetic route to a new peptide drug candidate.

Successfully transferred the process to the kilolaboratory scale and synthesized a 1 kg sample for clinical trials

(cGMP), which resulted in a $1 million contract for the manufacture of 100 kg at a UK manufacturing facility.

2002-2003: Research & Innovation Group Leader, Rhodia-ChiRex, Boston MA

Developed an expertise in modern cross-coupling organic synthetic methodologies through a close collaboration

with Prof. Stephen Buchwald at MIT.

Managed a high-performing project team (6) in Boston, MA and Lyon, France.

Improved the synthesis of a newly developed drug through the use of the ABF (amination of aryl halides),

resulting in a $500,000 contract for the manufacture of 70 kg which was successfully transferred to the pilot plant.
