Did you know that ...Air to air heat pumps use 3/4th of energy from renewablesources: the ambient air. This energy source is renewableand inexhaustible*. Of course, heat pumps also use 1/4th ofelectricity to run the system, but increasingly this electricity canalso be generated from renewable energy sources (solar energy,wind energy, hydropower, biomass). A heat pump’s efficiency ismeasured in COP (Coefficient Of Performance) for heating andEER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) for cooling.
