Did you know?
By better understanding medical issues, individuals can engage in more effective dialogs with their physicians and take a more active role in the management of their health (4)
The U.S Spends more money per capita on health care than any other country, it is important to know where your medical knowledge comes from (1)
On average, women with early stage breast cancer who have a lumpectomy and radiation live as long as those who have a mastectomy (2)
Screening tests for colon cancer- stool test, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and imaging tests- are similarly effective; the choice should simply be based on individual preference. (3)
