This lovely appetizer has a lot of fibre in it helping your bowel’s contents easily go through the body.

Why did we choose this?

Sandwiches are a classic favourite and has protein and carbohydrates in it.

Salad

Ingredients1/4 cup vegetable oil2 tablespoons vinegar /red

wine/cider1 tsp sugar1 tsp finely chopped onion1 tsp finely chopped green pepper1 tsp minced fresh parsley1 tsp ketchup1/4 tsp salt1/4 tsp ground mustard1/4 tsp paprika2 cups torn fresh spinach1 hard cooked egg (sliced)3 bacon strips, cooked and

crumbled

Method1. Put the first ten

ingredients in a tight- fitting jar

2. Shake well3. For one serving(one

bowl) use half the spinach

4. Top with spinach and bacon

Berry TrifleIngredientsHalf cup dried unsweetened cranberriesHalf cup fresh blueberriesHalf cup bite size pieces strawberries6-8(4 oz) Light vanilla cream yogurt¾ of protein bar1/3 raw sliced almonds¼ cup uncooked rolled oatsMethod1. In a bowl, sprinkle the cranberries on the bottom2. Top with 1/3 yogurt to cover3. More berries, then another 1/3 yogurt4. Sprinkle on the whole grains5. Apply with the remainder of the yogurt6. Then put on the almonds and oats for a nice finish
