Located at Al Safa, this chia seed inspired café with its inspiring menu is sure to make a mark on the Dubai Culinary scene. Chia seeds have many uses and benefits due to their high nutrient content and Incans used chia as a staple of their diet and as an energy food. Seedology serves Chia in a delicious, creative manner! T he ambience is warm, welcoming, vibrant, funky, and child-friendly with gaily painted walls and comfortable seats all around. A TV screen playing programmes for kids along with engaging board games, puzzles, stuffed toys, beanbags and loungers, and a play station ensure that kids are kept busy and helps you enjoy your meal and spend a relaxing time in here. The food includes a good mix of salads, appetizers, rolls, sandwiches, hot and cold sips with a variety of delicious smoothie options with Chia. Some of the dishes are named on popular characters and of places of Dubai. Burj Khalychee which we had, was a delicious mix of Mango, Peach, Lychee with Rose water and Khaksir seeds. The Red Alert is a great mix of chia seeds, black berry lemonade and rose water; a perfect drink for the hot summers. The intriguing Gohan Pizza turned out to be a delectable red coloured pizza in a cone made from red power beet juice, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, black olives, sundried tomatoes and served with ketchup and a side of fries, baked chips or Zalata salad – a medley of salmon, baby spinach, rocket leaves, red cabbage, cucumber, pineapple, cherry tomato, radish, raisins, almonds, chia seeds topped with mustard vinaigrette dressing. Yummy!! We ended it with the Superb Fruit Salad, a cornucopia of assorted seasonal fresh fruits, almond, pistachio, walnut, chia seeds, honey, and cream milk. Heavenly! From their signature chia inspired dishes, we had the Atlantis – a heady mix of mango, pineapple, dates, digestive cookies, rice pops, walnut, maple syrup, milk, and chia pudding. Unique and amazing in taste. The Shukulata Jafiliya was for the chocolate lovers – oreo cookies, Nutella, cream, milk, and chia pudding! The regular cold and hot sips are available along with yummy starters like a variety of hummus and guacamole. For me being a vegetarian, it was an amazing place with a host of wonderful, tasty dishes using a simple ingredient like Chia to modify, innovate and create a variety of tantalizing flavours. Seedology is a must visit cafe.
