HSE is a core value of HEISCO. Company management keeps HSE as a priority item. HSE responsibilities of various positions are well defined and the respective individuals are accountable with regard to its compliance. HEISCO HSE policy is developed on the fact that HSE is everyone’s responsibility and it should be inculcated as a culture in all levels of employees.

HEISCO HSEMS is certified to OHSAS 18001:2007 and is in line with our various client regulations and meeting all legal requirements. Our current incident rates are indicative of our HSE performance and are much better compared to international standards.

HEISCO is well equipped with a pool of qualified and experienced HSE personnel and with all required safety equipment and gears for the safe execution of the operations undertaken.

INTRODUCTION

Heavy Engineering Industries & Shipbuilding

Co. K.S.C (Public) (HEISCO) formerly known as

Kuwait Shipbuilding & Repairyard Co. (KSRC)

was established in 1974 to meet the needs of

shipping and maritime industry in Northern Arabian

Gulf. HEISCO is the most efficient and experienced

shipyard in the area with all the resources

necessary to fulfil the repair, maintenance and

inspection requirements of ship owners, both local

and overseas.

In 1982, HEISCO’s activities were expanded into

the fields of industrial contracting, oil and power

sector construction, maintenance and inspection.

After the privatization program of the Government

of Kuwait in 1995, Gulf Dredging & General

Contracting Co. has become a subsidiary of

HEISCO.

STORAGE TANKS

HEISCO is a leading storage tank manufacturer in

Kuwait with complete in-house facilities for full turn-

key projects from design, detailed engineering,

procurement, fabrication of tank plates and

appurtenances, to site erection, installation of

interconnecting pipe-works, electrical connections,

instrumentation, painting and lining or coating.

HEISCO is the only Kuwaiti company to possess

KOC approval for EPC of Storage Tanks up to a

capacity of 500,000 bbls.

The Codes followed are API 650, API 620 or

equivalent standards complete with all required

associated standards such as AWS A.I, ASME IX

etc., surface preparation to Swedish Sa or SPCC

specifications with painting, coating or lining to

clients or international standard.

PIPELINES

HEISCO’s extensive experience in Engineering

Procurement & Construction of Pipelines projects

demonstrates its enormous capabilities for

executing major pipeline projects in the Oil & Gas,

Petrochemicals, Refineries, Power and Water

Sectors in Kuwait.

Currently, HEISCO is executing two major sub-

contracts worth US$ 120 Million for KOC Low

Sulphur Fuel Oil (LSFO) Pipeline Projects from

Hyundai (Part A – Portion 1) and Petrofac / Kharafi

National (Part B – Portion 1 & 2), having 200 KM

48” Pipeline & 600 KM pipelines of different sizes

up to 56”.

One of the major pipeline projects recently

completed by HEISCO is a contract with MEW worth

US$ 131 Million for Engineering, Procurement,

Construction and Commissioning of 2 X 20” Heavy

Fuel Oil Pipelines of 120 KM each from Mina
