WVMC OB-GYNE services decongest the mainemergency room to cater to all obstetrics and gynecases inclusive of OPD, Emergency, Delivery, Labor,Family Planning, Women and Childs Protection services.WVMC OB-GYNE Department is also accredited toconduct Basic Emergency Maternal Obstetric andNewborn Care training as the Department of Health aimsto reduce by 75 percent the maternal and neonatalmortality by 2015. Since the 2nd quarter of 2010, three(3) batches of 61 participants have been trained byWVMC. Its itinerant team continue to perform voluntarysurgical contraception sterilization, conductsreproductive health services for appropriate treatment.

It is alsoan accredited drug testing center.It actively participatesin the National Voluntary Blood Services Program,National Quality Assurance Program in Chemistry,Hematology, Blood Banking with Excellent Results.WVMC is also a recipient of researches incollaborations with RITM on meningitis, andencephalitis incidence and dengue surveillancestudies. The Pathology Residents sustain their top tenplaces in clinical pathology.
