TWO WAYS TO CHECK YOUR HEART RATE

Have you ever wondered if your health is improving or not without going to the doctor?

You can simply check your heart rate to determine if your health is improving or not.

There are two ways.

WEEKLY CHECK-UP First, you want to take your resting

heart rate once a week. You want to pick a day before you get

out of bed and stick to it. It is best to pick a day where you tend

to wake up at same time, maybe on a weekday where you have to wake up for work.

Try to avoid weekends.

STICK TO A SCHEDULE For example, if you choice to take your

resting heart rate on a Tuesday morning before getting out of bed, then you should stick to that schedule and not switch around.

The main reason for this is because your resting heart rate chances throughout the week from doing different activities.

CHECKING YOUR HEART RATE You can either check your resting heart

rate on your neck or wrist. You want to make sure to use your

middle and index fingers, and not your thumb because your thumb also has a pulse.

You want to time it for 10 seconds, and then multiple it by 6 to get one minute.

That will be your resting heart rate.

HEALTHY OR NOT? Your resting heart rate should be

between 50-60 beats. If your resting heart rate is under 50,

then your body is not working hard enough.

If your resting heart rate is over 60, then your body is working too much or you have too much stress and your body cannot cope with.

AFTER WORKOUT CHECK UP The second method is to take your heart

rate after the same workout. You want to wait for about 3 minutes after

exercising, and then take your heart rate. If your heart rate is getting closer to your

resting heart rate after the 3 minutes, then your health is improving.

If your heart rate is taking too long to come back to your resting heart rate, then it is a sign that your body is not coping well with stress.
