The ChallengeInstallation on the center’s second and third floors had to be performed without disrupting patient care on the bottom floor. To eliminate noise during the day, crews were limited to working overnight so the facility was available for patients, caregivers and visitors by 6:00 a.m. In addition, our team had to coordinate construction activities with another onsite contractor.

The SolutionPlumbing work was limited to Monday– Saturday from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. as crews carefully maneuvered around hospital furniture and equipment in confined spaces. Ductwork rough-in start times and all deliveries to the hospital were restricted to early morning hours to avoid unnecessary disturbances. The McKenney’s team also madedaily adjustments to the construction schedule where necessary to minimize disruptions.
