ENJOYING MARRIAGE------PART 26 s a follow up to what I discussed in the last edit ion on marriage being all about discovery, I want to share something I read in one of the daily devot ionals recently on how a Bible character handled what he discovered about his wife. I am referring to Joseph the husband of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Let's read this account in AMatthew 1:18-21 In the case of Mary and Joseph they were engaged but they were not yet living together. Suddenly Joseph discovered that Mary was pregnant. Joseph knew he was not responsible for the pregnancy. Joseph was not happy with the development. He thought the woman he desired so much had violated the law of God. According to the law she was to be stoned to death. We see this in John 8:3-5 In the case of Joseph he did not want to “expose” Mary to any form of reproach and capital punishment so he decided to put her away quietly. Even though Joseph was disappointed he was st ill very considerate about the life of Mary. Joseph did not allow emot ions to overrun him. Today, some people make so much noise over everything they discover about their spouse. They tell everyone who cares to hear. Such attitude is not right. You must be able to protect your spouse. Whatever happens to your spouse will rub off on you. You must endeavor to protect your spouse as much as possible because it will work out for the good of both of you and your children. In the case of Mary, Joseph was ignorant of God's plan. The LORD had to send an angel to him to prevent him from putt ing away his wife. Thank God Joseph obeyed. I pray that the LORD will guide you on what to do in every situat ion in Jesus name. I pray that you will not come under the pressure of the devil to take the wrong decision against your spouse. The LORD shall give you grace to handle every unpleasant situat ion in Jesus name. By God's grace I shall cont inue in the next edit ion if Jesus tarries. Unt il then enjoy your marriage. “18. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not will ing to make her a publ ick example, was minded to put her away privily. 20. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21. And she shal l bring forth a son, and thou shalt cal l his name JESUS: for he shal l save his people from their sins. “3. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4. They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?” HEALTH TIPS 15 Health Benef its Of Guava Leaves That You Shouldn't Miss Jul ia Kitl inski-Hong 1. TOPIC: JESUS WAS DELIVERED FOR OUR OFFENCES AND RAISED FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION Part 2

Romans 4:24-25 Romans 4:24-25

This is the day that the Lord has made. It is the day of great fruitfulness. He alone will make you fruitful on all sides. Take advantage of the great grace of God to become fruitful so that you will become who God created you to be. God bless you. Shalom.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the l ife. The one who bel ieves in me will l ive, even though they die; and whoever l ives by bel ieving in me will never die. Do you bel ieve this?”

For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who l ive should no longer l ive for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

John 11:25-26

2 Corinthians 5:14-15

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

nce again I welcome our highly esteemed readers to April 2019, our month of ORESURRECTION AND REDEMPTION in

the precious name of Jesus Christ. In Jesus name you shall not miss out on the provisions of God for this month. You shall enjoy the full benef its of redemption in Jesus name. You will not experience any form of sorrow all the days of your life. The grace of God shall be mult iplied unto you. You will not struggle to make ends meet. People will call you blessed. You shall be a blessing to your generation. It shall continually be well with you in Jesus name. I made it clear in the last edit ion that this month is very significant in the body of Christ. It is a season of remembrance of a major event in God's divine calendar. Before I continue I want to make some clarificat ions. I wish to make clear that Christ ianity is not a religion; rather it is a way of life. Some have defined religion as man trying to reach God; no doubt, there are so many religions in the world today and each of them was founded or initiated by someone; also, each of these religions has its mode of worship. On the other hand, salvation is God trying to reaching man in order to rescue man; it is God seeking for the lost souls in order to reconcile them back home to Himself. I want to buttress this fact with two scriptures. First, before Jesus was born the LORD through His angel revealed the name and the mission of Jesus to Joseph the husband of Mary, the mother of Jesus Matthew 1:21

” From this scripture we see that Jesus' primary mission on earth is to save His people from their sins. Religion does not address the issue of sin. In other words, religion has no solution to the problem of sin. This is an indicat ion that those who pract ice religion do so in ignorance. It is not possible to fellowship with God or worship Him while in sin. The fact of the matter is this; sin is the main issue that God has with man and it is sin that separated us from God. That is why Jesus came to save us from sin. Secondly, after Jesus was born, He also revealed the purpose of His coming to the world Luke 19:10

Jesus came to seek and save the lost; that includes you and me. It includes everyone in the world; it includes al l the descendants of Adam. None of the founders or the init iators of the numerous religions of the world have what it takes to save from sin.

“21. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

“10. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

They themselves need to be saved in order to escape the judgment of God. In the last edit ion I shared briefly how we found ourselves in this mess. Adam sold his birthright to the devil when he chose to disobey God and yielded to the suggestions of the devil. By that act every one born into this world became a sinner. That is why Romans 5:19a says

By virtue of sin man became separated from God Isaiah 59:2

Jesus came that He might save us from sin and reconcile us back to God 2 Corinthians 5:19a

. Jesus came to restore us back to our original place in God. By the virtue of the sin of Adam all men and women became dead in sin and trespasses, but Jesus came to restore us back to life Ephesians 2:5

Jesus also said this in John 10:10

Jesus came to undo what the devil had done. Jesus came to give us life. Not physical life; He came to give us eternal life. He came to give us the life of God Romans 6:23

We have established from the scriptures that Jesus came to save us from sin and to reconcile us back to God. To wrap up this edit ion I want to address two issues. First, what is the benefit of being saved? Secondly, how can we receive salvat ion? These two issues are interwoven and it is not possible to address them separately. To answer these quest ions I will refer to some scriptures Romans 10:8-10

“19. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners,”

“2. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

“19. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconcil ing the world unto himself,”

“5. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)”

“10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have l ife, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

“23. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal l ife through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

“8. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt bel ieve in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heart man bel ieveth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” From this scripture we see that when you believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sin and that He rose again from the dead you shall be saved. That is to say, believe the work of redemption Jesus accomplished on the cross for you. That is why our anchor scripture for this edit ion Romans 4:25 says

If you believe that Jesus was delivered for your offences and raised for your just ificat ion you shall be saved. That is to say, you must believe that it was because of your sin Jesus suffered and died on the cross. It is when you believe that your sins are forgiven and you become saved. This was what Apostle Peter told Cornelius and his family and friends Acts 10:43

That is how you can be saved. Another scripture that addresses the benefit of being saved is John 3:16

In this scripture we are told that whosoever believes in the only begotten Son of God (that is saved) shall not perish, but shall have everlast ing life. The benefit of being saved is the gift of eternal life. If I may combine the answers to the two quest ions, to be saved is to receive the gift of eternal life. The statement of Jesus to the Jews also corroborates this fact John 6:40

When you believe in Jesus, the Son of God you have everlast ing life. Don't be caught in the web of religion. Religion does not give eternal life. Today is your day of salvation if you are not yet saved. Believe in the LORD Jesus Christ, confess your sins to Him and you shall be saved and you shall receive the gift of eternal life. By God's grace I shall continue in the next edit ion if Jesus tarries. Until then be sure you are saved and it shall be well with you.

“25. Who was del ivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”

“43. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever bel ieveth in him shall receive remission of sins.”

“16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever bel ieveth in him should not perish, but have everlasting l ife.”

“40. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and bel ieveth on him, may have everlasting l ife: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

BIRTHDAY CELEBRANT

Christiana Charles-IyohaGrace Kalu UmaMiracle David Evanson

You see, at just the right t ime, when we were st ill powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were st ill sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been just ified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliat ion. 12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned

HAVE YOU HEARD?that Christ died for us while we were yet sinners?

God is faithful. He has not changed and will not change. He loves you intensely and gave His only begotten Son for your salvation and deliverance from anything that is not of Him. You are privileged to be part of the Resurrection and Redemption series this month. You are welcome and be eternally blessed in the mighty name of Jesus. Shalom.
