The 2016 ACI Global Training calendar is here

Dear airport colleagues,

ACI Global Training is pleased to announce the release of our 2016 calendar.

The calendar includes dates for our industry leading programmes such as, the Airport

Executive Leadership Programme, ACI-ICAO AMPAP electives, the Global Safety

Network Diploma Programme along with many other classroom and online courses.

Our mission is to design and provide education programmes that assist airports in de-

veloping their staff, managers and leaders to meet the ever changing needs of the

airport business.

The methodical yearly planning process ensures that we continue to respond to our

members' and industry stakeholders' educational needs. Our planning process is driv-

en by insightful data and feedback received from our training centres, ACI regions,

our faculty, our bi-annual ACI Training Needs Survey, and by our world and regional

standing committees.

I trust that you will find the 2016 calendar a valuable planning tool to help develop our

most important resource, our people! I look forward to welcoming you to one of our

ACI Global Training courses in the near future.

the fifteen AMPAP graduates from North America in 2015.

About Mr. Rolf Reichmann

Mr. Riechmann has worked in the aviation industry for 14 years. Three years were

spent with Southwest Airlines in Outside Operations and 11 years with the JAA in Air-

port Operations, Business Development and Airport Management.

company, earned his Master of Public Administration from the University of North Flor-

ida and was hired as an Airport Operations Specialist with the JAA. After four (4)

years in Airport Operations at JaxEx, Mr. Riechmann spent an additional four (4)

2015 AMPAP Graduate Mr. Maximilian Hartwig from Flughafen

München GmbH comments on the AMPAP programme

My career in the aviation industry began in 2005 with a

dual-practice oriented study programme specialised in

Economics/Business Administration and Airport/Aviation

Management (diploma’s degree) in cooperation with Mu-

nich Airport. Through this programme, I gained a deep

appreciation of the specific challenges in our sector, as

well as a greater understanding of the systemic point of

view in aviation management.

After being trained and certified in more expert level

courses, I received the opportunity to apply for AMPAP

in 2013. My overall experience and the most important

benefits of AMPAP in my opinion, can be summarized

with two capital privileges. The first of which is the

chance to highly broaden my knowledge in the aviation

industry in general and more specifically in airport man-

agement. The second would have to be the opportunity

of gaining an in-depth view into practical experiences/

best practices from all over the world by other aviation experts, with whom we global-

ly network during and beyond this programme. Therefore I’m convinced that every

AMPAP student can benefit from this global network of experts and instructors!

In terms of my professional development, all the significant AMPAP course contents

as well as the acquired global network, helped me very much in my daily business

projects and responsibilities. Furthermore, the programme enabled me to challenge

myself every day and prepared me for my own prospective business career in a glob-

ally operating aviation world. So for all these mentioned reasons I can highly recom-

mend this unique and high-class programme to every player in aviation management.

Featured course: Airport Air Service Development

A well-developed route network not only improves the function of an airport as a con-

necting point for the local economy to the rest of the world, but is the underlying fac-

tor that permits an airport’s commercial success.

Incoming and outgoing air services, which builds cargo and passenger streams, will

stimulate direct revenues and increase non-aeronautical revenues as well as the air-

port’s overall market value as a place to undertake airport / non-airport related busi-

ness activities. Within this context, the course provides participants with the under-

standing of how to effectively approach and support airline decisions to serve your

airport.

Online Training Increases Team Strength and Motivation

Dublin Airport have witnessed an “increase in bench strength of the team but also the

self-worth and motivation of the staff member” after training their staff with ACI’s

Online Learning Centre.

Grainne Murphy, Airside Safety Compliance Training Manager at Dublin Airport Au-

thority, says our courses are “an effective way to get industry knowledge and best

practice amongst the operational team."

Murphy revealed Dublin Airport chose to train online because “staff can do the course

at their own pace." Her personnel love the course content because it “both supple-

ments and broadens their knowledge base of their work environment.”
