Winless in her first six starts, the three-year- old filly broke her maiden in style, strolling to a 32 3/4- length score at Saratoga. She romped through her allowance conditions as well, most recently returning from a two-month freshening to win by 3 1/4 lengths at the Big A Nov. 23. The 6-5 favorite facing stakes foes for the first time in the Ladies, she took up her customary position on the front end as she dawdled through a half in :51 1/5 and six furlongs in 1:15 4/5. Strolling Belle (Strolling Along) pressed Summer Colony to the stretch, then weakened. Stop For Schnapps was running at the end, but the winner would not be de- nied...and the best may be yet to come “She’s still learning and is very green,” jockey John Velazquez said. “She started looking at the starting gate in the stretch and started slowing down.
