  • INTRODUCTION Head Count Enrolment Report

    Fall 2017

Section I: All Enrolments Section I provides a full head count of all students (undergraduate/graduate and full-time/part-time), registered for the fall term only, as captured on November 1. Combined Majors and General/ Integrated Studies Majors are split between the appropriate units. For example, if a student has a combined major in Mathematics and Computer Science, he/she is counted as “0.5” in Mathematics and “0.5” in Computer Science.

Section II: Regular Undergraduate Section II provides a more detailed head count (by major and year of study) of all undergraduate students registered for both fall and winter terms as captured on November 1 (excluding pre-service and in-service education programs). Combined Majors and General/ Integrated Studies Majors are counted in full in each unit if the majors are offered by two different units. However, the student is counted only once in the Faculty total if the units belong to the same Faculty. For example, a Mathematics and Computer Science student is reported as “1” in both the Mathematics and Computer Science unit summaries, but only counted as “1” in the overall summary report for the Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences. Study years are defined as follows: Any student who has completed less than 5 credits as of Nov 1 in a particular year is counted in Year I, 5 to less than 10 credits counted in Year II, 10 to less than 15 credits counted in Year III, 15 to less than 20 credits counted in Year IV. In the Faculty of Education, only students in the Adult Education (including Aboriginal Adult Education) programs, concurrent programs, Early Childhood Education, and Education Certificates are included in this report.

Section III: Minors Section III provides the number of declared minors registered for the fall term only, as captured on November 1. Students’ majors are also indicated.

Section IV: International Section V presents the number of International Students registered for the fall term only, as captured on Nov 1 (by country of citizenship and full-time/part-time status).

This report provides student enrolment information for 2017-18 as at the official count date, November 1.
