Stewardship
A Way of Life
Stewardship Reflection
“For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until He comes.” — 1 Corinthians 11:26
One of the main focuses of today’s feast is the total self-giving of Jesus. The bishops’ stewardship pastoral reminds us that “the glory and the boast of Christian stewards lie in mirroring, however poorly, the stewardship of Jesus Christ, who gave and still gives all He has and is, in order to be faithful to God’s will and carry through to completion His redemptive stewardship of human beings and their world.”
Living Stewardship
In order to be good stewards of the Faith, we must constantly receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Allow the Lord to energize you to do His will by spending time before Our Lord in your church’s tabernacle.
Sharing One’s Material Resources in the Parish
Devotions
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
in the Holy Cross Chapel
Jesus is waiting for you! You are invited to join us every Friday for Adoration and some
quiet reflection and prayer. Exposition takes place following the 9:00 a.m. Mass
in the Holy Cross Chapel on the 1st floor of the Ministry Building and concludes with
Benediction at 3:00 p.m.
On the first Friday night of each month we also invite you for Nocturnal Adoration.
Make some time to spend with the Lord.
Novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Monday - after 9:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Masses
Rosary
After the 9:00 a.m. Mass each Monday through Saturday in the Cathedral except on
First Saturday when it is recited at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Summer Schedule
Please note the Summer schedule begins this weekend. The 10:30 a.m. Family Mass in the Lower Hall will resume on September 8th.
Summer Attire
The Cathedral is air conditioned for your comfort. With the summer months upon us, we tend toward a more relaxed way of life as well as dress. Please be conscious of proper attire for church. Thank you.
Peter’s Pence Collection Next week, a special collection will be taken for Peter’s Pence, which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Please be generous. For more information, visit www.usccb.org/peters-pence.
Hats off to all who

Congratulations!
5 THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST (Corpus Christi)
From the Rector — Dear Parishioners: As we move into the summer months and some of our schedules become a little lighter, please know of my prayerful hope that all goes smoothly for those who may be traveling, that breaks from work may be a time for recreation and re-creation and that God’s handiwork in the nature around us makes us even more aware of God’s loving care. Above all, may we continue to give praise and glory to God through God’s greatest gift to us—the Eucharist. As we announced last week the only change in our Sunday summer schedule is the suspension, until after Labor Day, of the 10:30 Mass in the Lower Hall. I am also pleased to let you know that we will once again be having visiting priests helping us out during the summer. Father Paddy Boyle, from Ireland will be with us in July and Father Joseph Martis from India and Father Vincent Sherlock, also from Ireland, will be with us in August. Fathers Paddy, Joseph and Vincent have been with us in the past and it will be good to have them with us once again. With us for the first time this year will be Father Vian Ntegerej’lmana. Father Vian did his seminary formation at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington and was ordained six years ago for his home diocese in Uganda. For the past six years, he has been serving at the Parish of St. Anthony of Padua in East Northport and will be returning to Uganda in September. In the Peace and Love of Christ,
Father Bill

7 THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST (Corpus Christi)
In the face of our country’s challenges, and challenges within
the Church herself, Catholics find
strength in the hope of Jesus Christ.
We want to share that hope with everyone.
Religious freedom gives us the space to carry out the mission that Jesus has entrusted to the Church. Religious freedom means that Catholics, and all people of goodwill, are free to seek the truth and to live in accordance with that truth, and so to strengthen our common life as a nation. Beginning June 22nd, the Feast of Saints Thomas More and John Fisher, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops celebrates Religious Freedom Week. In the midst of our current challenges, join us as we seek the kingdom and find Strength in Hope. To learn more visit our website at www.usccb.org/ReligiousFreedomWeek.
