Church Directory Update

Our scheduling process has begun. We will have volunteers eager to help you before

and after all Masses, starting April 11/12, April 18/19 and April 25/26. Please do your part and schedule an appointment soon. Our committee is working hard on this project and we want a directory we can be proud

of. You will have the opportunity to look at sample directories at the appointment table on the weekends listed above. We would like to get 100% participation!

Today, there is an urgent need for Foster Care providers throughout

Southwestern Ohio. Many children are in need of Foster Care and unfortunately, due to a shortage of Foster

Care providers in Southwestern Ohio these children are being sent hundreds of miles away. If you have ever

considered opening your home to a child in need please consider becoming a Foster Parent. For more

Baptismal Prep Class

If you are anticipating having your child initiated into our Catholic community through the

Sacrament of Baptism, you will need to have participated in a Baptismal Preparation Program. Our next scheduled Baptismal Preparation Class will be held on Sunday, April 12, at 11:00 am in the Library.

THE SOCIAL ACTION COMMISSION

On the first Tuesday of every month the Social Action Commission cooks hot meals for the

Clermont County Homeless Shelter. They are asking for help with meat and vegetable dishes, casseroles,

salads, drinks and desserts to serve 6-8 people. There are approximately 40 people sheltered in the Clermont County Homeless Shelter and any meal donations are greatly appreciated. The next meal will be on Tuesday, April 7. All donations are to be dropped off by 4:00 pm

at St. Thomas More west side parking lot. If you can help, please contact Charlene Kiefer at 752-0134.

Caregivers Assistance Network

For those of you caring for an aging parent or spouse, there is support out there for you. The Caregivers Assistance Network run by

Catholic Charities has a monthly support Group. The group meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:00 pm at St. Bernadette Church in the Parish

Center. Next meeting is April 14. Call before you come if this is your first time attending. (513) 869-4483. Do it for

Before Camp: Registration for Camp – Track incoming registration of adults, youth volunteers, and campers (adult). Crew Builder – Divide registered campers and volunteers into their crews and stations (adult). Setting the Scene Planner - Plan and acquire decorations (adults) Setting the Scene Executor – Decorate the night before camp starts (adults) Campsite Gear - Plan and acquire supplies for VBC week (adults) Donations Coordinator – Seek donations of needed items (adult) Preschool Coordinator – Coordinate the preschool camp program Theme Gear – Acquire or create the themed items recommended by the VBC program (adult) Leader Binders Builder – Make copies for and assemble the binders for the camp and station leaders T-Shirt Coordinator - Identify supplier and order T-shirts (adult) T-Shirt Distributor – Sort and distribute T-shirts (adult)

During Camp: First Day Registration – Help campers and volunteers to their camps and stations (1-2 adults). Daily Assignments – Each day ensure all volunteers have a station and all stations have volunteers (1 adult).

Mountain Top Treats - Guide youth volunteers in preparing the provided recipe's daily snack (2 adults). Camera Crew - Capture the adventure in photos and film to post the last day and on-line (youth or adult). Base Camp Sing & Play - Energize campers to join the music videos (high school youth or older). Kid Vid Cinema – Connect the video child witness to the day’s message (high school youth or older). Glacier Games - Lead campers to Christ through outdoor fun through games (high school youth or older). Imagination Station - Connect cool science gizmos with the Truths of our faith (1-2 Youth or Adults) Opening and Closing Skit Actors – Be 1 of 2 people in a humorous skit that brings home God's daily words Adult Volunteers – VBC needs adult presence to run: We need 2 adults in each area, so our size is limited by the number of adult volunteers. Our youth are willing to lead if you’d prefer to just hang out and watch the fun. Camp Leaders - Lead campers through mountaintop stations while the leaders present the station activity (2 high school youth or older leaders per camp). Mission Outreach Leader - Plan and run the mission outreach portion of our camp. (e.g., collections for clean water, St. Vincent de Paul)

Watch for our registration form when we’ll be accepting youth volunteers and camper registrations.

We are currently accepting donations of the following that can be labeled “VBC” then left with the school or parish office or near the food collection bins.

Decorations, including: Snow, winter, snowy mountain, and winter lodge decorations, including camp and mountain climbing gear. Balloons, especially white and various blues. Disposable: small drinking cups, clear cups, spoons, knives, plates, and napkins. Wet Wipes, Camper bags, last day gifts for camper bags (e.g., small faith or VBC themed items)

Come join the fun and lead our little ones closer to Jesus who will help them their whole life long!

LET’S PAY DOWN THE DEBT!

In order to encourage maximum participation in using the debt envelopes, we have begun a

type of drawing using the returned debt envelopes. On the 3rd Friday of each month, we will

draw one lucky envelope from those submitted since the prior drawing. The lucky envelope contributor will

receive 10 times the contribution they put in the debt envelope for the month, up to a maximum of $500.

People who give electronically or by credit card will also have an envelope entered in the drawing. Please give

generously to our debt reduction program.

2015 Golden Wedding Anniversary Mass

Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm, Bishop Joseph R. Binzer will be the principal celebrant at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral for those parishes located in Butler, Warren, Clinton, Highland, Hamilton, Clermont, Brown and Adams counties.

Couples celebrating their Golden Anniversary during 2015 will receive an invitation from the Archdiocese to attend this Mass. If you are celebrating your 50th Wedding Anniversary in the year 2015 and have not received an invitation, please contact Kate in the Parish Office at 753-2550.

Join us on Sunday, April 12th (rain or shine) at 11:15 am at the Picnic Shelter for our ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT. All families with children in 3rd grade and younger are invited to participate in this traditional event. Donations of prizes, Easter baskets & individually wrapped candy are greatly appreciated!
