I. The Beginning of Jesus’ Ministry In Galilee

Jesus came to the Nazareth synagogue andopened the book of Prophet Isaiah saying:

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; Isaiah 61:1-2; luke 4:18-19

II. Jesus preached six things to the hungry souls in Luke 4:18-19

The purpose of His First Coming was to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

This present age of GRACE is the accepted time and the day of salvation is spoken of as a year, the day of vengeance time of a day.

IV. Jesus’ Ministry Was Finished

Satan entered the heart of Judas Iscariot (Luke 22:3), who led the army to catch the Lord Jesus Christ after the Lord’s Supper.
