Click on the preview to open the preset in the main work ar-ea. Try simultaneously applying different presets and see what happens!

To merge two looks together, use the “Combine default settings" button directly under the categories. It’s that easy to expand your numerous op-tions and accumulate new ideas!

2.3 Photo Optimisation The Photo Optimisation controls can be found on the right and used to give an im-age a boost or add finishing touches. This option consists of the following functions:

2.3.1 Comparison View

When this option is activated, the result image will appear at a smaller, preview size. By moving the cursor, the small sized picture assimilates. Use this option to see a zoomed before/after comparison.

2.3.2 Optimisation Assistant

The optimisation assistant is a tool that remembers your preferences.

Values for optimised denoising, tonal val-ues, clarity, dynamic sharpness and image sharpness will be automatically determined for the current bracketing series. These values can also be changed later on.

If you save an image with settings altered from the automatic suggestions, these values will be calculated as part of an indi-vidual trend, which will be made available to you for your next stack.

A bright area on the sliders will indi-cate the trend and distinguish it from the automatically calculated optimum.

This is how the optimisation assistant evolves over time to your preferred image style.

Click the refresh symbol to reset the optimisation assistant settings.

2.5 External Programs There are two steps to transfer an image to an external program. The projects Interface: All programs in the projects product family are automatically registered. Images can be directly transferred to the desired program using the dropdown list.

A transfer to SHARPEN projects professional is selected here as an exam-ple. The Main Interface: The main interface for external programs can be configured solely through settings (Menu → Extras → Settings). The path for external editors (General, Photoshop CC, Lightroom, Photoshop El-ements) can be configured here. You can transfer a photo to one of the four external editors with the tool list: Simply click on the arrow beside the transfer button and then on one of the four programs to transfer the image. 2.5 Saving Final Images You can save your final images either with the corresponding button in the toolbar on the upper left, by selecting “Save final image” in the File menu, or by using the shortcut (Ctrl+S or CMD+S with Mac).

2.6 Timeline The timeline displays all of your currently available “Restore points” or “Undo steps”. Every time you create an undo step, an entry will be added to the timeline. You can jump to this undo step anytime you like by clicking on “Revert to restore point” (underneath every image in the timeline).

In addition, you can delete restore points from the timeline if you no long-er need them.

Note: Undo points save the whole project with all weightings and source images. Therefore, they take up a lot of space on your hard drive. Use them with care.

The same is true for saving projects, as the timeline will be included with every file you save. (You can switch this function off in the options.)
