The Human Development Forum Foundation (HDFF) is a Thai independent non-governmental organization without any political or religious affiliations is expanded its areas of activates in Bangladesh to provide staff development training and research. I had the honor and privilege of establishing this foundation with empty hands and very meager sources.
In 2007, we started out with a dream in our heart to have a professional research in the field of human security, as well as safety and security training, (project) management training and security consultancies. Now, HDFF under the Human Development Training Center (HDTC) has expanded its horizons and offers different training programmes in project management, human resource management, talent management, leadership, and advanced management as well as tailor maid training for the valuable clients in Bangladesh.
Moving forward, we seek to drive new opportunities with the growing public and private sectors in Bangladesh as we build on our existing strengths. At the same time, we remain true to our commitment of generating long-term value for our stakeholders. We will continue to work passionately toward meeting economic, environmental and social challenges to bring forth a better future for all.

My goal in leading Human Development Forum Foundation (HDFF) has been to strengthen its market position to meet the demands of today and tomorrow in Bangladesh.
For more 8 years after we set foot in Bangladesh, we have grown from strength to strength by anticipating and influencing change. Our strategy is built upon the belief that collaborative growth is key to success – we grow only when we are able to help our clients, stakeholders and business partners grow at every stage of their development and expansion. This is how we forge strong relationships that are deeply-rooted in major and emerging markets as a trusted organization.
Bangladesh is now the most vibrant region for HDFF. It encapsulates economies at different stages of growth with varying needs and this is where we play to our competitive strengths. Our immense global network connects us with the right people and the right resources at the right time. Our experience and expertise in diversified staff development fields optimize market success. Most importantly, our ability to deliver tailored solutions helps meet not only diverse needs but changing expectations with the motto “knowledge improves life”.

The Human Development Forum Foundation (HDFF) is a Thai independent non-governmental organization without any political or religious affiliations. HDFF was established in 2007 and operates out of Bangkok. We provide cutting-edge research in the field of human security, as well as safety and security training, (project) management training and security consultancies. Aid workers are increasingly operating in insecure and dangerous environments but projects usually do not provide any budget for the safety of the implementing staff. HDFF, as a non-profit organization, is able to offer reasonably priced safety and security trainings (in comparison to for-profit corporations) to (I)NGO staff as HDFF believes it is vital to reach organizations of all levels. HDFF furthermore conducts research on human security issues, currently specializing on ASEAN 2015 related topics via a conference series sponsored by The Asia Foundation. HDFF also conducts security consultancies on Myanmar, as well as research for conferences for international NGO’s. All of HDFF’s programs fit under our understanding of development, i.e. providing knowledge to communities and leaders, to fulfill HDFF’s motto “knowledge improves life”.
Vision & Mission
Human Development Forum Foundation is a dedicated educational and research organization, defined by our motto, “knowledge improves life.” We are a Thailand-based
independent, non-governmental foundation without any religious or political affiliations. Our research and training staff come from a diverse background including education, business, development, social work, and defense, among others. With decades of combined academic and real-world experience, we strive to build local capacity, improve the security of our communities, and contribute meaningful knowledge to society through all of our educational and research programs.
The Human Development Forum Foundation (HDFF) is pleased to announce its training courses organized by the HDTC. All courses listed are conducted in English. The main location is Bangkok, Thailand although some courses may be offered in the seaside resort city of Hua Hin, outside of Bangkok. We also offer courses in Malaysia (KL, Penang), Indonesia (Bali), Vietnam (Hanoi), Cambodia (Phnom Penh), UAE (Dubai) and Bangladesh (Cox’s Bazar, Dhaka). All courses are carried out by experienced HDFF trainers in close cooperation with external experts, all holding significant UN/INGO experience. By covering a wide array of essential topics, we aim to improve general management skills as well as the safety and security culture of non-governmental organizations and empower them through capacity building. Past satisfied participants include line managers as well as specialized security personnel from UN agencies and major international NGOs. Our high quality trainings have been featured in Thai media, reaching more than 2 million television viewers. For more information about our training, as well as the latest news updates, please visit our website at http://hdff.org/hdtc.
The Human Development Forum Foundation (HDFF) has a proven record of success in capacity building with a host of partners and donors. Over the years, we have provided leadership training for municipality councilors, organizational capacity building for NGOs in ASEAN countries as well as government officials in the context of awareness raising study tours. We have also provided expert training for community based flood prevention programs in Thailand, as well as “Stay Safe Training” (SST) for security personnel of UN organizations and (I)NGOs. Our flagship 5-days SST training is certified by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and has been attended by more than 200 Security Managers/ Security Focal Points since its introduction in 2011. This training was featured on Thai television; see the 30-minute special on Thai television here. You will improve your skills
HDFF has developed standards of quality to ensure that its trainings are effective and we use recognized survey methods to gather feedback. We therefore assure you that if you train with HDFF, your skills in the respective topic will improve because our methods have been proven and refined by experience. Feedback from past participants has been near unanimous in saying that the knowledge they gained during training has been instrumental in raising the targeted capacities and has created a base upon which they can train others at their workplaces. At the end of training, each participant receives all powerpoints, videos, and other materials used during the workshop for their own reference and distribution.
You will increase your professional credentials
While we are a local Thai NGO, the strength of an HDFF credential has been augmented by the large number of participants from international organizations, such as UN agencies and INGOs, and the array of international donors, such as the EU, British Embassy, and UNDP. Our “Stay Safe Training (SST)”, attended by participants from across Asia and Africa, is also certified by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). Upon successful completion of the training, each participant will receive a certificate signed by AIT and the executive director of the foundation. Successful completion signifies you are either capable or have proficient awareness in the target capacities of the training, and therefore the document serves as a useful professional credential and resume-builder.
You will network with like-minded professionals and make useful contacts
HDFF trainings are an excellent opportunity to meet and network with other professionals in various sectors of the development field. Our workshops are long enough for participants to build genuine rapport with one another, creating foundations for trusted contacts who can share information with one another, broaden career opportunities, and establish friendships. Most participants report that meeting new people is among the most enjoyable aspects of our trainings. Also participants who successfully complete a “Stay Safe Training” will be invited to join an online information sharing network connecting training alumni.
You will enjoy lower prices than other training providers
Many private organizations charge several thousands of dollars for the same types of trainings offered by HDFF. In its status as a non-profit organization whose mission is address the needs of communities and strengthen the capacities of people, HDFF keeps its course fees moderate to make its trainings accessible to organizations of all levels.

For participants needing visas to enter Thailand, HDFF will provide the requisite invitation letter after receiving payment of course fees. In the case that a participant is not in a country with a Thai embassy, they will have to arrange travel on their own to the nearest Thai embassy. This may require extra days of travel and expenses. Please take these factors into account when registering for a training course and planning your trip to Thailand. It is advisable to pay your fees as soon as possible in order to receive your invitation letter.
To obtain an invitation letter, each participant needs to submit -- with their registration -- two scans from their passport of the following pages: (1) the page showing the face and personal information and (2) the page showing that the visa was issued by the respective government (this is called the ‘insert page’ and usually has a national seal or logo)
