Hocheng Chiu founded the Hocheng Group in 1931 at Yin-Ko, Taiwan. HCG’s products skillfully crafted in seamless integration of design and functionality was applauded locally and internationally.

Due to HCG’s commitment to excellence and quality added to its success in Greater China, Hocheng Philippines Corporation was established in 1995. The growing demand of the market in the Philippines was catered through the opening of the 10-hectare production facility in 1997 at the First Cavite Industrial Estate (FCIE).

1931 – Hocheng Chiu established Hocheng Pottery Manufacturing in Yin-Ko, Taiwan with an initial capital of USD 12.50.

1981 – Hocheng Group launched the new “HCG” logo to mark its international presence.

1984 – HCG introduced the first one-piece watercloset, Alps, in Taiwan which successfully reached 100,000 unit sales in the first year.

1995 – HCG was awarded the “World’s Top 10 Bathroom manufacturers by American Ceramics and as Top 100 SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) by Forbes.

1997 – Launched a 10-hectare production facility in the Philippines.

2005 – Introduced the Lazuli brand to broaden portfolio of international renowned brands which completed the HCG’s products to luxury level. In the same year, HCG became the market leader in the Philippine sanitary wares market.

2010 – Hocheng Group celebrates its 80th anniversary. It is awarded as the “No.1 Ideal Brand” by Taiwan consumers for the past 25 years.

2012 – HCG launched Cerabo in the Philippines, o�ering a 21st century low-carbon construction material.

2013 – Kitchen system was the new addition to the growing product portfolio of HCG Philippines.

2014 – EBOX was introduced in the Philippines

2015 – Hocheng Philippines Corporation’s 20th anniversary in the Philippines. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we launched ArchiNEXT HCG Young Designers’ Competition as an avenue to show students’ limitless creativity.

2018 – Lazuli’s o�cial launch, with its Showroom opening in BGC.
