Objectives 

1. lift the level of awareness, acceptance and visibility of women and the talents and resources they have to offer the economy.

2.  provide a pooling facility for like-minded individuals to share information, ideas and knowledge and bring about positive change.

3. learn from and motivate each other by fostering an environment where positive influences are the norm and the word CAN'T is not part of the vocabulary used.

4. create a non-critical gathering place for all members in which to support, encourage and challenge one another to achieve beyond their own expectations in all aspects of life.

  

Code of Ethics 

1. An organisation’s reputation for ethical practices is one of its most valued assets. This reputation is achieved through the efforts of all its members and their avoidance of any activity that might reflect unfavourably on their own or the organisation's integrity and good name.

2. The following principles are applied by our members when carrying out membership activities.

3.  We do not use hard-sell tactics on any member or guest of the organisation;

4.  We keep the membership list and directory private and confidential;

5.  We will follow up on contacts courteously, with integrity and in a non-threatening manner;

6.  We will support others through referrals, advice and information;

7.  We will use the network to build relationships, make friends and build trust with other members.

President•Establish the goals and major initiatives of HBWN in consultation with the committee for the period of tenure.•Uphold the HBWN constitution and code of ethics•Attend or organise MC for member functions•Attend and chair committee meetings•Be the Public Officer of the organisation•Sign off all internal and external communication prior to release or distribution by secretary•Ensure the comfortable attendance of HBWN guest speakers•Provide support for the co-ordinators in their respective roles•Liaise with the external business community as the primary representative of HBWN•Review financial statements, attendance and membership records prior to AGM and writing annual report •Review financial statements to determine budget as part of the executive committee's first committee meeting after AGM•Be responsible for the overall management of the HBWN Awards•Organise timetable and Run sheet for each meeting
