As the pin or post enters the insert, it spreads the ball bearings, pushing the magnet and compressing the spring.

Once the pin (or post) is pushed past the ball bearings, the spring pushes the magnet andball bearings into the cone, locking the pin in place.

HAZZLOCK – PANEL ASSEMBLY


The insert is used to assemble standard RTA panels with dowels using one additional part – the Clamp Cam.

The Clamp Cam contains a small die cast lever which acts on the post, drawing it tight once captured by the insert.

NOTE: The Clamp Cam is not a part of the insert patent. There are many ways to mate with the insert, so a manufacturer is free to use it, or manufacture an alternate mating component.
