Our 5 day hawk management course is aimed at those who wish to join the ever-increasing fraternity of people practicing the art of falconry. We will take you through husbandry, legislation, hygiene, first aid, essential equipment, weight & diet management, telemetry, training and flying.

This Course is aimed at getting you started on the right path to owning and keeping a happy, healthy bird of prey and designed to give you the knowledge and understanding above and beyond that is needed to achieve the Raptor award.

Junior Falconer

You get to meet and handle a large selection of the birds we have at the centre, including hawks, owls, falcons and our resident eagle

Come and spend the day with our falconers, learning about the birds, the centre and what is involved in

looking after raptors and the daily routine of working in a falconry centre. Accompany and assist the

Falconer as they train and fly these magnificent predators

Your child will get to spend their sessions learning about the different species of owl, their diet habitat

and behaviour, as well as handling and flying a variety of the owls we have here at the centre

2 hr Hawk WalkAs the name suggests you will get to take one of our hawks out. Leaving the centre behind, you will enjoy a leisurely stroll watching the hawk fly effortlessly over the hills and cliffs before returning to your glove for a reward.
