An aerial view of one of three proposed sites in southeast Willmar for a new elementary school to be built if voters approve a bond issue in the May 19 referendum in the Willmar School District. This site, referred to as the Hawkinson site, is an L-shaped parcel north of Willmar Avenue and east of Lakeland Drive. The Kandiyohi County Family YMCA, visible in the top left area of the photo, is across Lakeland Drive from that parcel. Willmar Avenue/Kandiyohi County 23 is at the bottom of the photo, meeting up with the Highway 71/23 bypass at the far right.
