Have you always wanted to bring some new teaching tools, materials or a program to your students?
These teaching tools, materials or program would assist in learning, support the curriculum and engage all students.
Now how do you get enough funds for your idea?
Shrewsbury Education Foundation (SEF) is an all- volunteer organization that raises money to fund grants that put resources and programs directly into the classroom. Our mission is to enrich student learning of the SPS students at every grade level, by stimulating, strengthening and supporting educator-driven innovation.
All SPS teachers and staff are eligible to write a grant seeking
funding for unique learning experiences
and resources that will directly benefit and engage all students.

In 2015, SEF awarded over $9000 to staff and
teachers right here in the SPS so they could see
their program come alive and engage all students.
Here are a few 2015 SEF grants
Classroom Jeopardy! Classroom Jeopardy is a fun and interactive tool that allows students to learn or review information through a completely customizable jeopardy game.
It is a dynamic, interactive and fun way to review for each test and the students look forward to the competitive but fun way to review!
Young Scientists at Play: The Power of STEM at Parker Road PreschoolPost grant review: “The students experimented with bending them into curves. During the fairy tale unit, the students even used the different types of ‘building’ materials from the engineering bin to understand different materials for houses.”
Social Thinking: Whole Body Listening and Thinking with your EyesOur goal is to have every student at Paton School own the concept and expectation of Whole Body Listening and Thinking with your Eyes.
Each month at our Paton Pride meetings, we will introduce one of the Incredible Flexible You storybooks and share ideas and ways that the concept in the story applies to each child in the school. Teachers will then be asked to bring these concepts back to the classroom to become common expectations.
