As part of a committed group of women at Middleville UnitedMethodists Church, Diane Hoskins spends two days each monthsewing “snugli” quilts for the homeless. In the more than 10 years

the group has been working, it has sewn and given away 205 “snuglies” toshelters and agencies in Grand Rapids, Hastings, Battle Creek, andKalamazoo. Members, who’s composition has changed over the years, saythey enjoy the fellowship time together and the chance to do something tohelp others. That help is welcomed in Hastings where the Seventh DayAdventist Community Center is addressing the local homeless problemwith housing, free clothing, and counseling for those who’ve hit hard times.Turn inside to learn about how women with warm hearts are helping orga-nizations like the local Seventh Day Adventist effort to ease the cold.

We addressed quality in health care by achieving an overall composite quality score of 99.1% – exceeding both state and national best performers! With an eye on the future, the Board of Trustees spent 2014 analyzing partners in order to expand and improve care in the communities served by Pennock.
