All of the premieres of all 8 Harry Potter films are broadcast on TV as well as on YouTube, and the premiere of the most recent film was featured on the front page of YouTube. This means it appeals to teenagers a lot because they are the main users of websites such as YouTube, as well as watching more TV than adults.
Film Premieres
Film AdvertsThe Harry Potter films are often endorsed at the beginning of films, whilst people are waiting in the cinema to see another film. This builds tension for the release of the film and may remind people of the fact they want to see the films. Another way is having large posters inside the place where you purchase tickets in the cinema, to make people want to see the film.
Book Signings Actors from the Harry Potter films often take part in book signings prior to the release of new films, to make people want to go and see the films.
Social NetworkingHarry Potter has pages on lots of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, lots of which are often run by fans.

Talk Shows and InterviewsSome of the actors will occasionally appear on a chat show or a talk show to endorse the films and answer questions about their experiences.
