As of September 2009, 93% of American teens between 12-17 went online.

This is a consistent stat since November 2006.


Nearly 2/3 of teen internet users go online every day – 1/3 of teens go online several times a day and 1/4 go online about once a day.


Some 75% of American teens ages 12 17 have a ‐cell phone.

It's not easy for people to make the shift from a culture where they fear they are not good enough and need to improve, to one where they feel safe enough to want to improve for the enjoyment of it.
