Configuration, Monitoring & Diagnostics

Embedded SNMPv3• SNMP, as an open protocol which allows monitoring and controlling radio capability

via any SNMP compatible network manager, is embedded in each TRuepoint radio. SNMPv3 offers a more secured SNMP with 128bit encryption

Comprehensive LED alarm status• Comprehensive LEDs on the front plate of each module (Modem, muldex and

controller) visually show alarms and indicate the status of each module.

Built-in diagnostics • The software allows the user to diagnose the cause of an alarm condition at the

RFU/plug-in level and differentiates a path alarm from an equipment failure.

Web-based management• An Local Configuration Tool (LCT) - also called Craft Interface Tool (CIT) - is provided

to allow field configuration of the local and remote terminals, and also monitor alarms and status of the radios.

Paperless Chart Recorder (PCR)• The PCR tool provides the ability to upload and view the history of events and alarms

from a Harris radio.

Reduced Cost of Ownership

• TRuepoint minimizes overall network rollout costs by enabling “pay-as-you-grow” deployment.

• A unique, universal platform minimizes operating and capital expenses: – Lower initial system cost,– Minimal traffic interruption,– No need for third-party equipment,– Simplified installation, sparing, upgrades, maintenance and training.

• TRuepoint offers high performance equipment:– High system gain, thus smaller antenna and fewer hops required,– Low power consumption, thus no fans needed for additional cooling.

• TRuepoint emphasizes efficient OPEX more than CAPEX, establishing a new operational paradigm for microwave networks.
