Chamber Monthly Recipe - Holiday Dressing
STeP 1.Prepare corn bread as directed on package. Cool, and crumble.
STeP 2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook onions, bell pepper, and celery in butter until tender, but not brown. In another pan, cook sausage over medium-high heat until evenly browned.
STeP 3. Place corn bread and bread slices in a food processor. Pulse until they turn into a crumbly mixture. Transfer mixture to a large bowl. Season with sage, thyme, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix in chopped parsley, cooked vegetables, and sausage with drippings. Stir in eggs and chicken stock. This mixture should be a bit mushy. Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch pan.
STeP 4. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 1 hour.
1 (7.5 ounce) package dry cornbread mix1 cup butter2 onions, chopped1green bell pepper, chopped6 stalks celery, chopped1 poundpork sausage16 slices white bread2 teaspoons dried sage
1 teaspoon dried thyme1 teaspoon poultry seasoning1 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley2 eggs4 cups chicken stock
hhFD Toy and Food Drive for Santa PalThe Harker Heights Fire Department along with the Harker Heights Lions Club is sponsoring the Santa Pal Program. This program provides a full Christmas meal and toys for children of Harker Heights residents who are in financial need.
New unwrapped toys and monetary donations are needed to support this program. This program is completely supported by donations and all donations go directly to residents of Harker Heights. The program expects to support over 190 families and 375 children.
Donations can be dropped off Harker Heights Chamber, Harker Heights City Hall located at 305 Miller’s Crossing or Harker Heights Central Fire Stations located at 401 Indian Trail. Persons who are in need of assistance can submit an application at Harker Heights Central Fire Station 401 Indian Trail December 3rd through 12th from 10am - 2pm.

This is the latest and greatest information regarding the Healthcare Reform Act which includes the implications for individuals, the updated Supreme Court action of 2012, and the Premium Assistance Tax Credit information. Additionally, Medicare implications are briefly discussed. This seminar was geared to audiences of men and women of all ages.
