This Presentation will show you how simple it is to enter Job Budgets and to be able to compare actual Job Costs to Budgets.

When we set up the job, we establish the Prevailing Wage Pay Rates in Hardhat.

Each week when Payroll is entered, Hardhat will automatically pull in the appropriate Pay Rate, eliminating the need to keep track manually of the jobs that have Prevailing Wages.

We can distribute our fuel costs out to Jobs using the General Ledger Journal Entry program.

One commonly used method is to distribute based on the percent of Payroll dollars.

If Job A10999 has 55 percent of the Payroll dollars for the period, we should post 55 percent of our fuel cost to that Job.

If we are using Company-owned Equipment on the Job, we should post that expense to Job Cost.

We can enter industry-specified hourly operating rates for each piece of Equipment.

Once a week, we can enter the number of hours each piece of Equipment worked on each Job.
