• What do we celebrate? Focus to move toward celebrating the game and all it can offer (especially fun, teamwork, comradery). Expect to see more around this. Examples: celebrating all of our players that continue on to college (not just to play in college), congrats post cards for accomplishments & recognition, birthday post cards from the club sent weekly. Let us know if you have further ideas as well.
• PenMet moving forward on PGC front but no new news to report
• PenMet update – lights at Sehmel are coming – let’s try to help push the timeline as much as possible.
• Gig Harbor Sports Complex is of vital importance with the PGC/PenMet update –we need to keep momentum here
• Please continue to send Shannon and I content (pics and short summary) of any and all HSC for FaceBook, Twitter, Web. Fresh content is always welcome.
• Please share social media posts (instead of just like). This will exponentially expand our reach, market our brand and best of all... its free!

College Showcase Teams
The boys College showcase program has proven to be a successful venture thus far.
We are taking 2 teams to compete in the Mayors Cup in Las Vegas 2/14-2/19. Darren, Jason and Tim will be accompanying the players on the trip. Classroom session and field sessions are well underway to make sure the players are prepared for the level of play and the work that goes into attracting college coaches to our games. College fit finder has proven to be a valuable investment for the club with all players adding profiles and sending resumes to college coaches.
State Cup Update
24
Very busy time of the year for the High school age groups with state cup group play. We have 1 team progressing through to the knock out rounds however all teams gave a strong performance in the group stages.
United Soccer Coaches Convention
United Soccer Coaches Convention was attended by 7 HSC coaches. A first time appearance for myself and I am glad I took up the opportunity to attend. I mainly focused on the phycological classroom sessions on child development and coach development. Great event and looking into options for a new experience next year with Glasgow Rangers.

A mix of RCL and Tournaments…
The month of January was a mix of RCL games and participation in the PAC NW Winter Classic tournament for our girls teams.
The G05 and G06 teams have been playing their RCL season since September and each ended the month in 2nd place of their division. With a strong push over the next 2 months these teams will have a chance to move to Division 1 next season.
The G06 team has been preparing for their out of state tournament in Las Vegas next month with team meetings and 1on1 sessions between players and the coach.
The green G00, 01, 02, 03 and 04 teams each played in the PAC Winter Classic tournament the weekend of the 18th-21st. The G04 team made it to the semi-finals while our other teams did not make it out of bracket. The G00 and G01 needed a result in their last game to move on but unfortunately the ball didn’t bounce their way.

Jr Academy – Spring Adds
During January we have been working hard on finalizing the junior academy sign ups. More and more players registering each week. As of this report our list currently stands at 48 players junior academy sign ups for the spring season. Best growth I have seen since I have been at HSC. Coaches have been provided a curriculum that rotates every 4 weeks covering 4 specific topics. Dribbling, turning, shielding and passing.
U9-U12 Coach Trainings
U9-U12 coaches are also being provided training sessions for 6 weeks. These coaches have to deliver the specific topic and coaching points of that training session and add their own. They still get the creativity to change their session, however they must follow guidelines.
Promotions + FundraisingI have been working on a club promo video which you can find on our Facebook page.
Also I am helping set up a fundraiser for the showcase team vs coaches etc.
Currently working with Donna from PSD for training schedule times and locations.
