History
•Happy valley way first established in 1845.
•The first race took place in December 1846.
•Haunted history- February 1918 brought darkness to the racecourse, as more than 500 people were killed in a fire that took place in the locale.

Distinctiveness
It’s the only racecourse for horse racing in Hong Kong, apart from the “Sha tin racecourse stand”.
2001 brought Happy Valley the worlds biggest race track LED screen.
One of the top tourist attractions in Wanchai.
An estimated 55,000 spectators are able to watch the events in style.
