everyone’s effort and involvement. If you have been
away for a while and are interested in getting involved,
as you can see there's a lot going on and we would
certainly welcome additional support.
In closing, I would just like to thank everyone for mak-
ing our council a success! I know that throughout the
year I have been encouraging you to wear your name
badge, and many of you have. This is a GREAT way
to show our Parishioners "KNIGHTS IN ACTION"!
It’s also a great way to recruit a new brother! The
Knights at SJN are on the rise and there are so many
men who are not yet Knights, that only need to be
asked by one of you to join.

Abortionist Killed Baby Born Alive After Abortion,
Hid Evidence Cremating Body
Some time ago, Live Action published a series on ba-bies born alive after abortions. The series highlighted cases where children were born after abortions and not allowed to survive. One article discussed the accusa-tions made by a former clinic worker against Dr. Tommy Tucker, who has since lost his license after being impli-cated in the death of a woman at his clinic. Many people in the pro-life movement are aware of the allegations against abortionist Douglas Karpen. Three abortion clin-ic workers released a video in which they testified that the abortionist has killed many babies who were born alive.

Court: Hobby Lobby Doesn’t Have to Pay Fines
While it Challenges HHS Mandate
A court ruling today says Christian-run business Hobby Lobby does not have to pay fines under the HHS man-date while its legal challenges continue.
A federal appeals court in Denver has reversed a lower court’s decision to deny Hobby Lobby Stores Inc.’s quest for an injunction against part of the Affordable Care Act that requires it to cover the cost of emergency contraceptives for some of its employees.

Obama Admin Releases Final Draft of Pro-Abortion
HHS Mandate
The Obama administration today released the final draft of the HHS mandate that will force religiously-run groups and companies to pay for abortion-causing drugs and birth control in violation of their consciences.
The initial versions of the HHS mandate have already been the subject of multiple lawsuits from colleges and businesses that will be forced to comply because the HHS rules have very limited exceptions.

In Memoriam: Sir Knight Al Comelitti
Got a call from Al's daughter this morning, he passed away June 26th. Funeral arrange-
ments are on Wednesday July 3rd at Forest Lawn East at 10 a.m. For those who did not
know Al in the "good ole days" of the K of C, the following is for your info.
Al was a lifetime K of C member, moving from Columbia, MD, to Charlotte, NC.
Al was a Charter Member of Council 7343.
Al was the second GK of the Council 1981/1984 (DGK to Ed Comiskey, 1st GK)
Al was also a Fourth Degree member, active in the Honor Guard
Al was always active in both Council and Church activities
After the passing of his wife Floy. Al retired to the Villages in Florida and loved every mi-
nute of it.
Over the years Al's health was so-so as comes with age. April of this year he celebrated
his 89th Birthday with family in attendance. At that time he stated he was at peace and
was ready whenever the Lord calls him home.
Most recently he had to undergo angioplasty. While under the operation a piece of plaque
got loose causing a stroke. While he still needed additional surgery it was decided that
due to age and health conditions he would not be able to undergo any further treatment.
He was placed in Hospice and passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Regards, Marilyn and Hal Bittleman

Thanks to Brother Steve Coradini who volunteered the entire week at Camp SOAR. He did a great job with his buddy, Everett. During the week 365 campers and nearly 400 volunteers participated in a full summer camp experience at the Levine Jewish Community Center in Charlotte. Sports included soccer, bocce, swimming, and basketball and the campers worked on an art project, took part in a fitness exercise, yoga, and finished with a big dance. Packages containing art supplies were sent to the Wounded Warrior Program at Fort Bragg and to military in Afghanistan. They were assisted by two Army recruiters and two Marines.
Our faithful Lecturer and Special Olympics chairman Al Tinson-presented a $693 LAMB check to Susan Doggett, Development Director for Special Olympics North Carolina, and Camp SOAR founder and director, Bob Bowler.
